Only “official” titles have been included; however, show awards such as “BIS,” “BISS,” “Select,” “V-1,” “KS/BS/ES,” etc. have not been included due to space limitations. Other honorary or production awards have been deleted in the interest of space and/or consistency; thus, “MRC Hall of Fame,” “ARC Gold Producer,” etc., will not appear in the TRQ Stud Dog Album. TRQ has absolutely no way of checking the verisimilitude of any dog’s titles. Pedigrees may have been submitted to us with or without acknowledged awarded titles indicated (i.e., AKC-certified pedigrees do not recognize Schutzhund titles or championships won in foreign lands). Because there are numerous Registered Therapy Dog and Temperament Testing organizations, ALL will be listed as “RTD” or “TT,” respectively, for simplification and clarification purposes. For COMPLETE data, titles or other honors bestowed upon dogs you may be interested in, PLEASE contact the owner of the dog directly.

Also, be advised that all OFA and CERF numbers have been abbreviated. Both registries are officially preceded by “RO” to indicate “Rottweiler.” The first five digits of OFA hip numbers indicate the number of the individual dog; the next alpha character indicates the rating of the consensus of board-certified radiologists (E = Excellent, G = Good, F = Fair); the last two numbers indicates the age in months the dog was at the time the x-ray was taken; next an alpha character of “M” or “F” indicates the gender of the dog. Finally, you’ll see in dogs evaluated after 2001, a hyphen and a “PI” or “noPI”—this means the dog is or is not permanently identified by microchip or tattoo. OFA heart clearances include the prefix “CA” to indicate Cardiac; the individual’s number; age in months at time of examination; and sex of the dog. Separated by a slash will appear a suffix abbreviation designating the examiner’s level of expertise: P = practitioner; S = specialist; C = cardiologist. The genetically transmitted heart condition which primarily affects Rottweilers is sub-aortic stenosis (SAS). It is extremely difficult to diagnose without special skills and technology. TRQ recommends OFA-heart clearances for all breeding animals be performed by either a heart specialist or cardiologist just for this reason. CERF recommends dogs be certified free from inherited eye diseases on an annual basis up to the age of 7 years of age. The first three or four digits are the individual dog’s number; the two digits following the slash indicate the year the dog was certified; and, the last two digits indicates how many months old the dog was at the time of certification.
